Returns follow the Industrial Monitor Direct refund policy. This page summarizes it; the policy itself is the authoritative text.

Return window

You have up to 90 days from delivery to start a return on standard products. Items must come back in their original, unused condition: uninstalled, unaltered, with all original packaging, manuals and accessories, and in a resalable state.

Custom and modified enclosures: ask before ordering

Under the policy, customized, modified or special-order items are not eligible for return or exchange, and neither are items marked final sale. If your order includes a door cutout, operator holes or any other change to a standard enclosure, ask us before ordering whether it can be returned.

How to return

  1. Email us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Returns without a valid RMA number cannot be processed.
  2. Pack the item securely in its original packaging or equivalent, with all accessories, and ship it with tracking.
  3. Defective, damaged or incorrect items get a pre-paid return label. For other domestic returns the policy states that Industrial Monitor Direct covers return shipping. International returns: return shipping, duties and taxes are the customer's unless the item is defective or the error was ours.

Fees, inspection and refunds

  • Certain items may carry a handling or restocking fee of up to 15% of the item's price; the amount is stated when the RMA is issued, and it may be waived for a defect or an error on our part.
  • Returned items are inspected, typically within 2 to 3 business days of arrival.
  • Approved refunds go to the original payment method within 5 to 7 business days; your bank may take up to 10 business days to show it. Refunds exclude the original shipping cost unless the return is due to a defect or our error.
  • Replacements or exchanges are typically processed within 1 to 2 business days after approval and ship at no extra cost.
